"LILBURN -- In the boys' game, Parkview got its 2011-12 season off to a solid start as the Panthers overwhelmed Lassiter 64-47 behind Andre Chatfield's 31 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists.
#Parkview took advantage of a Lassiter squad that was depleted of several players due to the football team's second-round state playoff game tonight against McEachern.
#Eddie Harris and T.J. Thomas each added 11 points as Parkview put three players in double-figures. Thomas also chippied in seven blocks and Jalen Abraham had 12 assists.
#Parkview (1-0) led 8-6 at the end of the first quarter, but the Panthers exploded in the second eight minutes by outscoring the Trojans 25-14 to take a 33-20 lead at the half.
#The Panthers built on that lead and took a 52-36 advantage into the fourth quarter.
#Lassiter (0-1) was led by Khrishna Khartri's 23 points, including four three-pointers, while Justin Hahn had 10 for the Trojans.
#Action continues in the Parkview Tipoff Classic on Saturday and picks up again on Monday and Tuesday."
