Homecoming Tournaments

It's been about three weeks since I've been in the states and the homecoming experience I've had has been remarkable. I'm playing on an AAU basketball team with friendly teammates and a relying coach that has given me confidence ever since I've started playing with him. The moment I joined the team, I felt as though I'd been playing with the team all my life; I fit right in. Last week, I had two tournaments during the same weekend (Nike Memorial Classic & Georgia AAU State Championship) which was definitely a challenge. I mean, try playing 8 games in one small three-day weekend traveling an hour back and forth from one gym to the other. At one point, one of our games conflicted with another in a different tournament so we had to forfeit. The last two games of the weekend, we were all exhausted. We continued to play in the States and ended up in third place after we defeated College Park. It wasn't exactly the normal basketball game you see everyday. It was slow-paced, and we kept the game close until the fourth quarter were we dominated on both ends of the floor.

Now, I'm looking forward to playing in my next tournament and the showing the world who I truly am. The first tournament was a bit shaky but that doesn't mean that I'm going to give up. Me and my dad took out the time to go to the gym two times a day to work out and get my head in the right place. I'm ready to redeem myself and play with my teammates again. But, this time will be different; I'm ready to play.
